'Together we can. Together we will.
ahodaya, a concept literally meaning ‘Rising Together’ came into being in the year 1986, to facilitate synergy of ideas among the schools of CBSE. A Sahodaya Schools Complex is a group of neighborhood schools voluntarily coming together to share their innovative practices in all aspects of school education including curriculum design, evaluation and pedagogy and also providing support services for teachers and students. It is indeed an interactive platform of schools to deliberate upon the different policies and guidelines of the Board and provide effective feedback on their implementation to establish new benchmarks of quality.
Sahodaya Samiti, Gwalior was established in 2005 with 16 members in its fold. Today, it has grown to 71 members under its umbrella from Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Shivpuri, Dabra and Sheopur. The members meet once in two months to discuss about various issues related to school education. A yearly calendar is floated in July after discussing the events that schools wish to host and also plan workshops for teachers.
Sahodaya Samiti, Gwalior organizes Sahodaya Cultural Programme and Sahodaya Sports Meet every alternate year. Literary, Art and Cultural competitions are also organized by member schools as host. Competitions provide a great platform to display the knowledge, skills & hidden talents which students have. It also fosters development of social and interpersonal skills besides building the confidence of the students.
There’s more to achieve and we will be able to achieve it by setting higher benchmarks.
